Learning a wide range of subjects can bring many drawbacks
Learning a wide range of subjects can bring many drawbacks. To begin with, studying a large number of subjects may distract students from their major subject. This is because they have to dedicate multiple time slots for each subject, which prevents them from giving their and undivided attention to the major one. In this way, they might fail to land a specialized job with a low level of mastery in their chosen area of specialization. Secondly, information overload is another problem youngsters will encounter when they study too many subjects. Therefore, they may suffer from acute stress and high levels of depression, and in the worst case, drop out of school at a young age.
